DNANet takes a layered approach to evidence marking. For rapid screening needs, fluorophores and/or up-converting phosphors are utilized, depending on application. Hand-held devices provide instant screening results. DNA is the forensic element of DNANet, providing an indisputable link between evidence, crime and criminal. In addition to being forensic, DNA is also extremely difficult to wash away or destroy.

Application of DNANet markers is easy. Available in sprayable and paintable formats, DNANet can be applied to virtually any surface. Permanent and contact-transferable formulations are available.

DNANet marks are detected on two levels. Rapid screening of articles/offenders is accomplished with hand-held devices. Secondary, forensic analysis, of surface wipes samples collected by police, is completed in an Applied DNA Sciences’ laboratory. Sample collection materials and instructions are provided with each DNANet marker kit.
